Role Of Mitra in NATS
Mitra plays a vital role in bridging the gap between students, educational institutions, and industries under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS). Acting as a grassroots facilitator, Mitra helps expand the reach and impact of the scheme, especially in rural and semi-urban regions where awareness and access to apprenticeship opportunities may be limited.
Mitra’s involvement begins with organizing awareness sessions in colleges and training institutes, where students are informed about the benefits of NATS — such as hands-on industry training, monthly stipends, and government certification. These sessions aim to motivate and guide students, making them aware of how apprenticeships can enhance their career prospects.
Beyond awareness, Mitra provides counseling and end-to-end support to students during the registration process on the NATS portal. Many students often face challenges related to documentation, login issues, or selecting suitable apprenticeship roles — and Mitra ensures they get timely and personalized assistance.
On the institutional side, Mitra works closely with colleges and industries to facilitate onboarding, MoU signings, and compliance reporting. By acting as a liaison between all stakeholders, Mitra helps maintain transparency, resolve operational issues, and ensure that both students and employers benefit from a seamless apprenticeship experience.
